Upon metal's halt, a tale to tell,

Chinese demand faint, market fell,

Yet, gold in its charm, holds well,

A snail in its shell, where it dwell.

Though sales at storefronts no story impart,

Gilt yields in the kingdom, divinely smart,

A rabbits hush 'gainst inflation's dart,

In the market's meadow, plays its part.

Dollar might rise, yet bound and quiver,

A stag poised 'fore the river,

Euro trapped, a scent deliver,

Of equities weak and bond yields shiver.
